Prof. Kumaresh Prasad Singh takes charge as new Pro Vice-Chancellor of     T. M. Bhagalpur University :

Newly appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Kumaresh Prasad Singh has assumed his office on 29.08.2011

Later in the afternoon, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. N. Dubey and other University Officials along with HOD's of PG departments, Principals of different colleges and University Staffs welcomed Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Singh to his Office at a Welcome Programme organized at University Senate Hall.

Following assumption of the office, Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Kumaresh Prasad Singh said all round development of University in each sector are his first priorities.

Professor Kumaresh Prasad Singh has replaced Ex-PVC Dr. Dhrub Kumar, who has been transferred to L N Mithila University in the same capacity. Dr. Dhrub Kumar was given warm farewell at the same function.

"IFTAAR PARTY" hosted by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor  :

Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. N. Dubey hosted a grand "Iftaar Party" on the  at his official residence.

It was really a rare glimpse to see Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University Officials, HOD's of PG departments, Principals of different colleges and all university Staffs including Third Grade and Fourth Grade Employees sitting together for the religious observances of Holy Month of Ramadan as a community to break their fast together.

VC Dr. Dubey  personally greeted everyone on this occasion.

TMBU completes  50 glorious years of its establishment, Golden Jubilee Foundation Day celebrations organised at grand scale...

Having completed 50-years since establishment, the Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) is organized grand Golden Jubilee celebrations on 12th July,2011 . Several cultural functions, seminars and sport events were organized by different colleges and university departments in the day hours on Tuesday.

Established in 1960, the TMBU was known earlier as Bhagalpur University. The university was re-christened as Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur University in the year 1991 to commemorate the local freedom fighter Tilak Manjhi, stated to be the first person who revolted against the British misrule that had triggered Sepoy Mutiny.

The main function was organized at University Senate Hall. Hon'ble Agriculture Minister, Bihar,  Mr. Narendra Singh was the Chief guest on this auspicious occasion. A grand cultural programme was organized by the students of TMBU. The NSS unit of University organized the functions. Later the artists from AlL India Radio gave their presentation on this occasion.

Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. N. Dubey, Pro-V.C. Dr. Dhrub Kumar, DSW Dr. Jyotindra Chaudhary, CCDC Dr. K. K. Singh and other University Officials along with HOD's, Principals of different colleges were present on this occasion.

A cultural programme to mark the Golden Jubilee Celebration was held in Dinkar Bhawan also.

"Samman Samaroh" of Retired University Teachers on Teachers' Day  

T. M. Bhagalpur University organized "Felicitation Ceremony" of retired University Teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day on 5th September, 2010 at University Senate Hall.

Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. N. Dubey, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Dhrub Kumar, Dean, Student's Welfare, Dr. R. P. Upadhayay, Registrar Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sinha and other University Officials along with HOD's, Principals of different colleges were present on this occasion.

Around 25 retired University Teachers were honoured by Hon'ble VC and PVC by presenting Memento and 'Ang-Vastram' for their valuable service to the University.

" Dawat-e-Iftar " hosted by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor,TMBU on 01/09/2010  

Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. K.N. Dubey hosted grand 'Dawat-e-Iftar' at  VC's residence on 1st September,2010. It is first time that Iftar party was organised at TMBU.

It was really a rare glimpse to see Vice-Chancellor, University Officials, HOD's of PG departments, Principals of different colleges and all university Staffs including Third Grade and Fourth Grade Employees sitting together for the religious observances of Holy Month of Ramadan as a community to break their fast together.

24 hours Medical Facility at University Health Centre

Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr. K. N. Dubey has ordered for  round the clock medical facility at University Health Centre, T. M. Bhagalpur University. It is first time in TMBU that 24 hours medical facility and assistance will be provided to Students, University Staffs and public of local area at University Health Centre.

B.Ed. Course in S.M.College :
Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur University is starting B.Ed. Course in S.M. College, exclusively for girls. 80 percent seats will be reserved for TMBU graduates. The Course fee will be around Rs. 36000. 

New Hostels for Research Scholars and OBC Girls :
Research Hostel : The allotment for research students at the newly constructed Research Hostel will be started from the first week of July.

OBC Girls Hostel : The allotment of seats at OBC Girls hostel has been started. Approximately 50 OBC girls are already staying in the hostel.
