• New Department established with a vision to strengthen regional language Angika through survey and research.

• Established on 10th June,2002, in its short history since its inception is one of the very popular courses in the T. M. Bhagalpur University.

• Oragnised its first Foundation Day on 10th June,2003.

• A souvenir named 'Ang-Garima' was released on this occasion.
