The research of Prof. R. C. Prasad, a former H.O.D.,figures in the Cambridge History of the English Literature, CUP.

The research in Indian English of Prof. V. S. Dubey finds prominent citation in The Cambridge Encyclopedia of the English Language. Ed. David Crystal (CUP) 1995. His name also finds place in Who’s Who of Indian Writers, published by the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.

 Prof. Dubey, also chaired a session at the SEAMEO RELC International Seminar Singapore, 1999.

 Mr. Anil Kr. Sinha an ex-student of the Department joined the Cambridge University as a teacher in the sixties.
