57 students have got Ph.D. degree under the guidance of faculty members.

Dr. Quamar Jahan has been chosen for distinguished standing and has been conferred with an Honorary appointment to The Research Board Of Advisors by The American Biographical Institute.

Dr. Quamar Jahan  has been awarded  Best Book Award for Akhter Shirani in 1987,Teacher Fellowship Awards,GUC Delhi,1984, National Scholarship Award, Govt. Of India,1966.

Dr. Manazir Hasan,faculty of the department has published more than 3000 articles in various newspaper/Journals, 77 books and 06 books are under print.

Dr. Hasan has actively participated in various programmes of AIR Bhagalpur, Ranchi, Darbhanga, Delhi, Srinagar, Lucknow, Kolkata and TV Srinagar and Patna Doordarshan.

Dr. Md. Azizur Rahman, faculty of the department projected the Historic Importance of Ghazals of the Great Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib for before his centenary, through a research paper published in a reputed journal of Bombay Shair in 1967.
