School of Open Learning was founded in the year 1962 under Delhi University. It was previously known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education. The institute was established by the University of Delhi. SOL is considered to be one of the most pioneering institutes in Distance Education. There are two functioning campuses in Delhi. SOL DU admission is offered in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. School of Open learning admission is in several fields of arts and commerce.
The University of Delhi issues the student’s degree. The school at first had around 900 admissions but by 2006-200, the school had almost 2 lakh students enrolled. SOL, Delhi University is on a mission to reach out to more students. Delhi University School of Open Learning Eligibility Criteria:
SOL DU admission follows the eligibility criteria set for each course by the Delhi University. Every aspirant must meet the criteria if they wish to apply to the School. The Eligibility criteria for the various courses are tabled below:
|B.A./ B.Com||Candidates belonging to the general category should carry at least 40% or above in qualifying examinations. Students belonging to OBC must carry 38% while SC/ STs can carry a minimum passing mark.|
|B.A. (Hons) (English)||Candidates should pass their board examinations with 65% marks or more if belonging to the general category while OBC students can carry 58.5% and minimum passing marks for SC/ST. Candidates should have at least 75% marks in English or 65% in English elective. Candidates must have any three subjects included in the course.|
|B.Com||Candidates must carry 55% or above in any qualifying exam. Candidates belonging to OBC must carry 49.5% while candidates must carry minimum passing marks if belonging to SC/ ST candidates must carry 60% marks in Vocational subject in the qualifying exam.|
|B.A(Hons) (Political Science)||Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in any qualifying exam.OBC aspirants must carry 45% – OB while minimum passing marks for SC/ST. Candidate must include one language course. Candidates should include three academic subjects in the course.|
|M.A.||Candidates should pass B.A. (Hons.) in relevant subjects with 60% marks or aboveB.A.(Pass) students from Delhi University must pass with 55% marks and above in the aggregate in relevant subjects.|
|M.Com||Candidates should pass B.Com. (Hons.) from Delhi University or any other recognized university with at least 50% marks.Candidates studying B.Com. (Pass) from Delhi University or any recognized University must carry at least 55% marks. Candidates should pass B.B.S., B.B.A., B.I.F.A, and B.B.E. from Delhi University or any recognized University with at least 60% marks.|
